Since 1975, LINCE ITALIA has made a name for itself as a leading company in the security sector.
This success stems from the extensive experience it has acquired over the years and the desire to create something unique, tailored to the needs of installers and end users. Our products, which are made in Italy and acclaimed the world over, are in step with market expectations, guaranteeing all the precision and innovation of anti-intrusion technology.
LINCE ITALIA’s mechanical and electronic design, product and testing departments are all housed in a 7,000 m2 facility, situated just a few kilometres outside Rome, guaranteeing all the conformity testing in compliance with current regulations. Providing simplicity through technology is the ultimate goal of the LINCE team.
Over the years, the company has produced more than twenty industrial property rights (patents, models, etc.) through ongoing commitment to research and development. A new eco-friendly approach is showcased by the construction of a 400KW photovoltaic roof and the gradual use of less polluting materials.

The history
The seed of what would eventually become Lince was sown in via Morena 46 in Ciampino. The Mercuri&Odorizzi precision mechanics workshop was registered in the Rome Chamber of Commerce on December 29, 1975. Modest machinery, but an abundance of enthusiasm in the two new young entrepreneurs.
2023 – 2024
In 2023, LINCE Italia launched its first online shop dedicated to installers, offering exclusive access to competitive prices on over 1000 products.
This platform, designed for security professionals, allows for the easy purchase of all LINCE products with the support of dedicated specialists. The initiative has strengthened the relationship with authorized installers, consolidating LINCE’s leadership in the security market.
2022 – 2023
In 2022, LINCE ITALIA introduced a significant technological advancement with the implementation of a proprietary cloud platform, named GOLD Cloud, which enabled the connection to the internet of GOLD and EUROPLUS series control panels installed across the territory; the Cloud platform was immediately successful, both among installers and end users, and by the end of 2023, more than 5,000 control panels were connected with over 15,000 users. The new platform also made it possible to implement new services such as the management of a multi-operator SIM portal, remote maintenance via OTP passwords, and much more.

2019 – 2021
LINCE radically changed its sales network by replacing the representative agencies with a team of LSS (LINCE Security Specialist), employees that take care of installers and distributors.
An Important quality improvement with the adding of the Cloud and Video Verification System to the already performing GOLD 869 System.
2013 – 2018
Lince took part in a TV advertising campaign for the first time on the Italian Canale 5 national network.
In joint partnership with two major foreign companies, LINCE founded MAZi Security Systems GmbH, a company based in Tonisvorst, Germany. The company set itself the goal of distributing professional CCTV systems throughout the world.
In joint partnership with a major security-sector company, LINCE opened its Safety Light division.
2006 – 2011
A large-scale campaign of training courses aimed at installers who arrived en masse from all over Italy. Major investments in research and development with a significant increase in engineers and technicians.
Lince filed the industrial invention patent for the use of a triaxial accelerometer on detectors for alarms to replace mechanical anti-sabotage devices. The BABY triple technology curtain detector presented at IFSEC the following year would be the first sensor in the world featuring this technology.
Lince relocated to the new 7,000 m2 facility in Ariccia.
2000 – 2006
Lince Italia became a public limited company (S.p.A.). The company relocated to the 3,500 m2 facility in Via Mura dei Francesi in Ciampino.
At IFSEC 2004 in Birmingham, BOBBY, the first external intrusion detector with 2 PIR and 1 MW + Anti-masking was launched.

1991 – 1994
The first advertisement in the BURGLAR ALARM sector-based magazine, participation in the first security fair with a complete range of security accessories. In addition to the accessories, the range of products was completed by control units, detectors, self-powered sirens and automatic phone diallers.
1987 – 1989
Lince became Lince Elettronica S.r.l. and moved into its first facility in Via Umberto Maddalena in Ciampino. The patent for resolving false alarms in roller shutter contacts was filed; a pioneering solution that still leads the field.
In joint partnership with Bentel, Lobotec Srl was established in Corropoli where the largest factory, at the time, for the design and construction of alarm systems was built.
1980 – 1986

1977 – 1979
Introduction into the world of security with the production and assembly of aluminium rotary sirens on behalf of RO.CO., the burglar alarm company. In April 1979, the rotary siren was launched on the market, the first Lince brand product.
